Surfline Forecaster Mike Watson Presentation
& Surf Movie Night
SAVE THE DATE!! On Saturday, August 16th @ Maltz Jupiter Theatre @ 6:30pm
Mike Watson of Surfline is going to be unveiling brand new forecasting
software for the website. No one else will see this before YOU! Taylor
Steele's new movie Stranger Than Fiction to follow.In addition we will
have raffles, silent auction items, and beverages.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT for Elections Nominations
The chapter is looking for members to take charge and lead the chapter.
If your afraid you dont know enough, dont worry!!
Positions for the Executive Committee
& Descriptions
Chair – Point of contact person, delegate's responsibilities as
needed and ensure
Vice-Chair – Performs duties as assigned by Chair, fulfills Chair's
role when absent.
Secretary – Records minutes, keeps records, send copy to webmaster
to post on website
Treasurer – Manages financial records, receives and disburses funds
with receipts.
Fundraising/Events Coordinator- Helps develop events with/for campaign
committees.
At Large Member (2) –Entry Level leadership, assist officers, provide
input and perspective.
Other Skilled Non-voting Positions
Media Coordinator –maintains online contact list, sends press releases,
assists officers in communicating with media.
Web assistants – Maintains, upgrades and makes changes as needed
to chapter website.
Currently we have only received the following nominations:

Connie Gasque - At-Large
North County Beach Committee AUG 6th
For those interested in joining the committee, the first working group
meeting will be held August 6th, 7pm @ the Crab House in Jupiter. Please
Email the Chapter to receive the necessary information prior to the meeting.
Prior to this meeting @ 6pm will be a presentation by ASR-America, Ltd. on wave modeling & the Singer Island Project.
Beach Clean-up: Saturday, AUG 16th
Beach accesses targeted are Delray Beach (Atlantic Avenue) to Deerfield
Beach (Hillsboro). Target beach accesses include:
Delray Beach: Atlantic Ave &Linton
Boca Raton: Spanish River & Palmetto
Deerfield Beach: Hillsboro
To participate either meet at Florida Atlantic University (Boca Campus) at 9:00am in front of the Student Union Bldg, or at any of the above beach accesses at 9:30am.
